UM Student Group 1000 New Gardens is putting away their shovels for the season. Throughout spring and fall the group helps install sustainable food gardens in the Missoula Community. They installed 125 gardens in Missoula, and added 70 in Bozeman in the last three years. Milwaukee Trail Opening
Missoula is known for its bike friendly roads. Now the Milwaukee Trail extension connects Missoulians from East Missoula to the campus and downtown. The extension is more than just a new route. Those who came out to take part in the celebration hope that this extension may one day connect the west as well as show people biking is better on the environment. UM News reporter Dustin Klemann and photographer Bernie Riggs went to the event to find out more.

Campus Construction

The University of Montana Admissions markets its pristine landscape to entice prospective students. But as reporter Natalie Neumann and photographer Teal Kenny found out, tour guides say all the campus construction is taking away from students' first impressions.
International Education Week

The University of Montana hosted International Education Week from November 17 - 21. Students had the opportunity to learn about studying and working abroad. Outside of this event, UM International Programs offers three weekly, one-hour sessions throughout the year.

Milltown Dam Removal

The largest superfund site in the world is a busy place this week.
Reporter Katie Stukey and Photographer Byron Norris found both workers and residents staying active to make sure the Milltown restoration goes smoothly.
The removal project completion is expected in April of next year.
