7th Annual Griz for Kids Toy Drive

Volunteers toughed chilly temperatures to help collect toy and cash donations at the Grizzly football game November 5th. The Griz for Kids Toy Drive offers help to families in Western Montana during the Holiday season. This year they raised nearly $3,000 in cash donation and hundreds of toys. Toy drive coordinator, Sheila Callahan, says the goal is to make sure every child has a present under the tree. Former Griz Center, Chris Orwig, is thrilled the toy drive he started is still ongoing. UM Student Section Bleachers Removed

The University of Montana's Washington-Grizzly Stadium holds more than 4,000 standing and chanting students every home game. UM News reporter Stephanie Hansen tells us how after five years, UM has finally torn out the last of the student bleachers. (Click below to see the story.)

Griz Bye-Week

Some "hardcore" Griz fans took advantage of the bye-week to take the field with some of their favorite players. Special Olympians were treated to football drills courtesy of Grizzly Athletics.

While most fans took advantage of the bye-week for a day of rest, Griz players Tyler Palmer and Andrew Glueckert hit the fields to give back to the fans.

The Griz football team had a bye game last weekend, but that didn't stop players from heading over to Washington-Grizzly Stadium last Saturday. UM News Reporter Laura Wilson and photographer Jon Denny found out how two Griz players spent their weekend off.
