UM Marching Band

University of Montana Grizzly football players aren't the only people breaking a sweat on game days. UM News reporter Marianne McCormack and photographer Amy McDonald went to a practice to see what it takes to be a part of a different team taking the field on game days.

AIDS Quilt

The National AIDS memorial quilt visiting Missoula this week will feature some new quilt patch additions. Reporter Stacy Gray and photographer Rob Norton met a group paying tribute to a UM professor whose life was claimed by AIDS.

Homecoming Hustle

The UM Cross Country Team is the only UM team that has to fundraise to afford basic equipment like shoes and uniforms. They decided to raise funds by having the first ever five-kilometer Homecoming Hustle. Reporter Lindsay Alvestad and photographer Marianne McCormack met up with the team.

PEAS Farm

One university program is offering students a fresh way to earn credits, and give back to the region. Twice a week, students work from morning to night harvesting produce at the Program in Ecological Agriculture and Society or PEAS Farm. UM News reporter Holly Baker and photographer Caitlin Mallory caught up with students at the farm.
