Students protest for Occupy Missoula

University of Montana students pepper the Missoula County Court House lawn protesting corporate greed in the nation. They protest whenever they can between classes and work. Students have different reasons for their involvement, but they still show up everyday to take part in Occupy Missoula.
UM News reporter Tara Oster and photographer Maegan Simmons found two students that seem willing to forgo sleep to be a part of the movement.

I am so glad to see this happening locally. I am from 35 miles downriver and don't often get to Missoula. A few of us have discussed making our presence known in Alberton, but, except for people owing money, there is little representation of Wall Street here. Still, we are in solidarity with the OWS/OMizzoo movement.

The students are starting a movement here at the campus in Missoula. As a state, Montana is about as far removed from Wall St. as one can get. This does not mean that we have nothing to stand for. There are many Local and State issues that we can stand for. We can make real change happen right here in our state. We are the people and we will be heard.
