
As the weather is getting colder, Missoulians are harvesting carrots, cucumbers, and kale from a secret garden. The ASUM Community Garden rents out plots behind Lewis and Clark Villages on a first come first serve basis. The University owns the land, provides the water and tools, but uses people with a green thumb to tend the soil. Reporter Marnee Banks and Photographer Scott Youngbauer dug up the dirt on some eco-friendly gardeners.
