White House Deputy Chief of Staff

Alumni and friends flooded back to campus for Homecoming. One UM graduate came all the way from the White House. UM News photographer Carmen Ebert and reporter Katrina Heser met up with President Obama's Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina and talked about issues facing college students. Messina graduated from the University of Montana in 1993 and says he hopes to return to Treasure State when his time at the White House is done.

How are students staying involved now that the campaign is over?

When / how will the job market recover?

Why has President Obama paid so many visits to Montana?
