Geocaching
Students on the University of Montana campus participate in many extra-curricular activities. UM Geography student Eric Leinonen showed Reporter Marnee Banks and Photographer Dariga Massenova how he often spends his free time. Leinonen led the two on a high-tech treasure hunt called geocaching. Leinonen’s Professor, Sarah Halvorson, also geocaches and explained the inner workings of the glorified hide and seek.

US Military Depends on UM Fitness Class
A Health and Human Performance course at the University of Montana is collecting data for the US Military. "Training for the Untrained" is a physical fitness class for men ages 18-40, and gathers information on how long it takes them to get into shape. The study will set standards for future recruits to be tested against. UM News reporter Ashley Korslien and photographer Mark Wilson found out how the students are shaping up.
The Grizzly Scholarship Association held their 4th Annual Wine Festival Fundraiser in hopes of raising more money for Grizzly Athletics. Photographer Buddy Cowart and reporter Cole Johnson found out what the GSA is doing in continuing to raise money for the Grizzly scholarship fund.
